Well the ScratchCard Challenge is off to a positive start. On picking up my 3 years and 7 month old son from school today we wandered into the local SPAR to get some sweets and whilst waiting at the till he pointed at the scratch cards and said; “Daddy you will win on that”.
You probably think I’m making this up but I swear it’s the truth. The one thing I won’t do with this project is to lie to you or myself.
So I lifted him up and he pointed at one of the £2 scratch cards. “Typical” I thought. But this experiment isn’t about logical judgement so I bought it. I also bought another one which had caught my eye too. It was the first one my eyes fell on and had a jackpot of £4000.
As I have £5 per week to spend on scratch cards in the initial 4 weeks I went for it and it cost £3 in total for both scratch cards.
I sat in the car and scratched them both off and couldn’t believe it – not only did the first one win me £6 but the second one won me £2 as you can see from the photos.
So the challenge has so far bagged me £5 which means I have £95 to go to the first 4 weeks target of £100 and I’ve still got over 3 weeks to achieve it.
Fingers crossed.
Kev x
